Driver Qualifications
Driver Qualifications
2 years verifiable transportation experience in previous 5 years (Semi)
6 months Commercial Driving experience in the previous 2 years (all other divisions)
25 years of age or older
Valid DOT physical
Able to pass Pre-Contract Drug Screen
5 points or fewer on an MVR
No moving violation suspensions in the last 5 years
Able to Log according to D.O.T. regulations
No more than 25 points in any Field on a P.S.P.
D.O.T. Truck inspection within 60 days
Ability to travel to all 48 states
2005 or newer 1 ton pick-up With TT and FW hitches (for Pick-up Division)
No history of drug or alcohol related offenses
Smart phone with Camera and ability to send photos
Recommended: US passport, passport card, or any US state dept. approved document

Pick up Truck requirements
Trucks over 10 years old must be approved by recruiting
Truck License plate must be sufficient to legalize a combination of truck and trailer up to 26,000lbs. Mapletree recommends the equivalent of an Indiana 26,000lbs truck plate.
Truck must be a full size ¾ or 1 ton truck
Must submit a completed DOT inspection-preformed within last 60 days.
Truck must be equipped with the following:
Class III receiver rated at least 10,000 lbs.
5th wheel (5th wheel is optional, not mandatory to start) Rating should be at least 20,000lbs.
Gooseneck hitch is optional
Full width mud flaps located at rear bumper, as well as mud flaps directly behind tire 6” from ground
RV mirrors
Weight distribution hitch rates 1,000lbs positioned 20”- 22” from ground
Two balls sized 2” and 2 5/16”
Bargman 7-way electric trailer plugs at rear bumper and in truck bed
12-Volt automotive, or deep cycle marine top post battery with case
Fire extinguisher (mounted), set of 3 safety triangles or flares and assorted fuses for truck and trailer
Torque wrench with 3 deep well with socket size ¾”, 13/16” and 7/8”
Bottle jack or another jack suitable to change trailer tire
Electric brake control
Place to hook a breakaway cable to truck
Toll Transponder
Optional:
Ratchet straps, chains or cables
Hitch padlock
Fuel tank (direct feed) & tool box no more than 2” above top the top of the bed rails. Fuel tanks must have a DOT certified sticker and capacity clearly labeled.

Lowboy / H&T / Flatbed Requirements
Lowboy requirements
A Semi-tractor which is 15 years or newer
A lowboy trailer with 48-53 feet of deck space. Trailer must be able to take a full 53 foot load.
Lowboy trailer must be capable of carrying a 102 inch wide and up to 10’ 5” high unit.
Trailer must have a center rail. Punch metal decker preferred.
5 or 6 ball stands for both 2 inch and 2 5/16 inch hitch ball.
10-12 tie down straps. ( Wheel bonnets or wheel straps preferred)

Haul & Tow H&T Truck
Mirror’s that enable a driver to see when pulling a 102 inch wide unit. Mirrors that extend or have mirror extensions
Equipped with Center rail, and ramps. Deck height must not exceed 36”, and cannot be any shorter than 25 ft.
Winch- Minimum 9,000lb mounted to the trailer
Brake Controller – Brake control device must be mounted in the cab and fully functional
Fire Extinguisher – The fire extinguisher must be mounted and readily accessible. Most DOT interpret this to mean that you have to be able to reach it while in the driver’s seat.
Triangles – 3 Warning triangles or Flares
D.O.T. Inspection – Each driver is required to have a current DOT inspection completed on the truck. They must also carry a copy of the current inspection inside the truck.

Plugs-– Truck must have Seven-Prong electric plug receiver
Class III hitch or bigger – This hitch must be mounted to the frame of the truck, 10K or better with the 2 5/16thball installed. NO bumper hitches
Ball Stands – Must have 2” 5/16 and 2” balls and pin into the center rail
Straps and Ratchets – Minimum of 4 DOT compliant sets ( to secure 1 four-wheeled vehicle)
Mudflaps– Trailer must have full set mudflaps behind rear tires
Breakaway Battery 12-Volt automotive, or deep cycle marine top post battery with case
(***1” Rachet – To secure Breakaway battery to the trailer)
2–Six Ft. Safety Chains. Chains should have hooks on both ends (5/16” or thicker)
Torque Wrench– 150lb or greater
Flatbed Requirements
CDL A required

3-Warning triangles or Flares
Fifth Wheel Hitch – The 5thwheel hitch must be at least a 24k rated hitch and must be mounted to the frame with the proper mounting kit. When your truck is not loaded the 5thwheel height should be 44-46” high.
Fuses – An assortment of spare fuses for truck.
Toll Transponder
Truck Bed- Any pick-up truck MUST have the bed REMOVED and replaced with wheel fenders and full mud-flaps per D.O.T. regulations
Plugs – Truck must have Seven-Prong electric plug receiver and a Forklift Plug.
Flatbed Trailer Requirements
D.O.T. Inspection – Each driver is required to have a current DOT inspection completed on the trailer. They must also carry a copy of the current inspection inside the truck.
Deck – Equipped with Center rail, and ramps. Deck height must not exceed 36”.
Plugs – Trailer must have a Seven-Prong electric plug and a Forklift Plug receiver.
Winch – Minimum 9,000lb mounted to the trailer.
3-Ball Stands – Must have 2” 5/16 and 2” balls and pin into the center rail.
Straps and Rachets – Minimum of 12 DOT compliant sets (to secure 3 four wheeled vehicles)
Mudflaps – Trailer must have full set mud-flaps behind rear tires.
Fuses – Backup fuses for any fuses needed to operate equipment (i.e. Brakes) on the trailer
